Happy Mother's Day, Mommy! Love, Clark

Mother's Day was so fun!  I love being a mom. :)  We had a wonderful church service in the morning, led by Pops.  Then we came home and took a couple mother/son pictures:

In the afternoon, we went out to eat at Uno's Pizza!  Clark was so well-behaved!  There was a huge TV right near our table...that helped. :)

Go Phillies!

We had a great time!  It was really encouraging to go out as a family and not be super stressed.  Clark was the perfect little angel.  And no, I'm not a biased parent. haha ;)

Happy Birthday Andrew Timothy!!!

I remember the day Andrew was born!  I went to meet him at the Phoenixville Hospital.  I remember thinking, "that is one cute baby!!"  And he still is cute!!  I can't believe it's already been 3 years since that day.
This is the day Andrew met Clark: (Andrew is on the very right)

Here's a picture from one of their first playdates.  Andrew is sitting next to Clark:

This picture is from awhile ago.  This was the day Andrew got his first spanking!  Haha!  It's funny now, but it definitely was NOT funny then...

This is Andrew at Easter this year!  HOW CUTE!!!

And here he is opening a present on his birthday:

We all have a soft spot for Andrew, but Andrew especially likes Uncle Josh. :)  He gets very excited when Uncle Josh comes over.  It's really adorable!

Happy Birthday Andrew!!  We love you!!

CLARK TURNS ONE!!!!

He's ONE!!!  We are so excited that the big milestone has arrived.  We had a wonderful birthday party for Clark today, on his birthday.  He was in good spirits through the whole thing!

Everyone arrived around 11am.  Josh and I were just getting all the food situated on the table, buffet style.  When (almost) everyone had arrived, Josh said a beautiful prayer and we opened up the buffet.  The menu was sloppy Joe sandwiches with chips, fruit salad, and macaroni and cheese.  Mimi made iced tea for us all and Mom-mom and Pop-pop brought sodas.  Thank you all!!  We opened up the patio door and people ate inside or out.  Pops set up croquet and the kids enjoyed playing that.  Guests also played a guessing game that I had made as well.  (You know, the put-the-pictures-in-month-order game.)

After about thirty minutes or so, Josh called everyone inside and we opened up Clark's presents with him.  He was very cute perched on a chair with me. :)  I tried to speed things along by helping him unwrap.  He was delighted with all his gifts--thank you!!!!

When all the presents were opened, we announced the winner of the guessing game: Aunt Kim!!  She got to take home a bunch of Clark bars. :)  Then we sat Clark in his high chair and sang Happy Birthday to him!  I was hoping he wouldn't cry...and he didn't! Whew!  He even ate a bunch of birthday cake and icing!

Okay, mostly icing...

After dessert, everyone stuck around for awhile then gradually people left.  Thank you all for coming!!!!  It was a huge encouragement to Clark, Josh and I!!!

Happy Birthday Alexandria Elizabeth!!!

Alex turned SIX today!!  I can't believe it!!  She has such a sweet smile and a soft heart.  She also has the funniest comments!!  She always has us rolling on the floor laughing at play dates!!  Such a cutie!!  Here are some pics to commemorate her big day:
Here she is meeting Clark for the first time!

She had the "privilege" of holding a screaming-bloody-murder Clark during one of his first play dates:

at the beach last summer!!! (Alex is the second little lady on the left)

She held Clark during his baptism picture on October...as you can see he did much better this time:

And she got stuck with him again during this picture from the beach house this winter: :)

We drove over to the Roesler's house on Friday to give Alex her gifts.  It was so fun to see her on her birthday!!  She was so sweet and grateful when she opened her presents.  The Roesler siblings are so cute!  Amy and Ryan have really raised the child-rearing bar!  Those kiddos are so well-behaved!!  Here are some pictures of Alex with her big gift from her parents:
(pictures compliments of Amy's facebook...hope you don't mind, Amy!!)

We wish you many more happy birthdays, Alexandria!!!  We love you!!!

Documentation of the HIVES

Last week at this time we were battling a nasty case of hives.  Poor Clark had them for three days!  Doesn't seem like a long time in retrospect...but it felt long at the time.  Here is a shot of his little belly:

His swollen eyes:

Swollen face:

We are so thankful that God took the hives away by Friday night.  Saturday morning he woke up clear!
